This lodge is not only a fishing lodge, but is also an original Hudson's Bay Trading Post. The guests will experience the same untouched wilderness the first explorers of North America saw hundreds of years ago. They can walk on the sand beach where Cree Indians landed their birch bark canoes filled with fur to trade for the white man's goods. Beaver pelts were the currency of the day and were traded for muskets, knives, axes, cooking pots, beads and blankets. Although we only read of such things in history books, the guests of the lodge have a chance to go back in time and have the same experience of exploring the virgin wilderness at this lodge.
